Did you know that, on average, it takes about 30 years for a new idea, protocol or understanding to become “standard of care” and PRACTICED in medicine? That’s right…30 years before medicine can change it’s mind about ANYTHING and have it become a standard throughout the entire industry.
Sound crazy? It did to me, until I saw it for myself. To medicine’s credit, that slow-to-adopt strategy is its own effort to make certain that the move is correct, safe and sound. With all due respect to the industry, 30 years is far too long to wait for improvements in health care.
Subsequently, we are seeing a lot of progress being made in managing chronic illnesses OUTSIDE of medicine. We now know that many, if not all chronic diseases are a combination of diet, exercise and toxic emotions, but proving it in “bench research” is difficult if not impossible because of the design of the research model.
Current research models assume that the best evidence of an intervention’s efficacy is a randomized, controlled trial that separates experimental treatment with controls to evaluate for placebo effect.
This is a great model for machines, but when applied to people who have immense biodiversity and immunological heterogeneity (aka: we are not alike) there is no accounting for unique immune responses. The problem is: WE ARE NOT MACHINES!!! We are human beings with unique immune systems that DO NOT respond to every food, every situation in the same way.
You can think about people like snowflakes. They appear to be similar if not the same, until you look very closely and notice that their structure is completely unique. They all form from ice crystals. They are all the same color and approximately the same shape and size, but under scrutiny, it is vividly obvious that they are unique and only look similar from a distance.
Our immune systems and our emotional/behavioral programming are unique to each of us the same as an individual snowflake has its own structure. To apply a machine model to unique structures is a ridiculous concept, but it’s how we’ve conducted research in medicine for the last century.
Ever so slowly, we are beginning to recognize uniqueness in human beings, but it is happening at a snail’s pace.
If you want to speed up your recovery from any form of chronic illness, the best starting point is to recognize that the food you eat and the thoughts you think are far more powerful than we have ever considered (or have been told). The fastest steps to recovery are to remove as much sugar and processed food as possible, severely restrict dairy products from your diet and start an emotional well-being program like EFT tapping as a regular part of your daily routine.
If you don’t already have a daily practice, let me recommend our EFT program and joining Ashley for a new tapping video every week. Joining the program is free and we’ll send you updates to the program as we record them.
You might also consider downloading a copy of our manifesto, Cracking the Caveman’s Code from our website home page. It will give you some fascinating insight from 20 years of medical practice from a rogue physician who dared to challenge The System and found expansive health on the other side of that challenge.
To your health, friends.
